The gondola ride takes about 15 minutes. From the gondola summit station, follow the promenade to the summit of Mt.Maemori, which is 1,304m above sea level.
From the summit you can enjoy a magnificent spring panorama of the secondary beech forest below, as well as Mt. Iwate, Mt. Hachimantai, Mt. Nanashigure, and Mt. Himekami.
And sometimes you can see a fantastic sea of clouds.

The beech forest spreading across Appi Kogen is full of charm throughout the four seasons.
Our guide will introduce you to the pastures that once served as grazing lands and the second-growth beech forests selected among Japan's Top 100 Forest Bathing Locations, sharing stories of Appi Kogen's past and present.
From June to July, the beech forests and their surroundings come alive with diverse flora and fauna. Visitors can encounter the Ezoharuzemi cicada, the mysterious ghost plant, and vibrant meadow blooms such as the Japanese azalea and lily of the valley.

Located about 30 minutes by car from the hotel, this special tour allows you to enjoy both "Fudo Falls," selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, and "Ashiro Lacquerware," a traditional craft that Hachimantai is proud of.

The Appi Kogen area is home to three species of fireflies—Hime fireflies, Heike fireflies, and Genji fireflies.

Sports Club Olympia's heated indoor pool is located on the first floor of ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Appi Kogen, and all areas facing the outside are glass-walled and open. You can spend a comfortable time while looking at the green plateau in summer and the slopes in winter. There is also a jacuzzi and deck chairs, so you can spend a relaxing resort time.
