IHR Force Majeure Cancellation Policy
IHR Force Majeure Cancellation Policy
IHR (hereinafter referred to as “the hotel”) is committed to ensuring a fair, consistent, and transparent response to cancellations that arise from unforeseeable and uncontrollable circumstances. “Force Majeure” refers to events beyond the reasonable control of either the hotel or the guest, including but not limited to natural disasters such as adverse weather, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic activity, or other natural catastrophes; major transport disruptions such as strikes, industrial actions, riots, civil commotion, mechanical or structural failures of transport systems, or closures of airports, train stations, or ports; and government actions such as outbound travel alerts, border closures, travel bans, quarantine orders, anti-pandemic measures, restrictions on movement, or limitations on public gatherings.
In the event that a Force Majeure situation directly prevents the hotel from providing accommodation, the booking will be cancelled without penalty, and a full refund will be issued. However, if the hotel remains fully operational and accessible, and the guest is either unwilling or unable to travel due to external factors not affecting the hotel’s ability to provide service, the standard cancellation policy will continue to apply and all amounts due will remain payable.
The hotel reserves the right to revise or update this policy as necessary.
