A special night tour where you can meet gently glowing fireflies on a summer night.
Enjoy their enchanting dance of light as you observe Heike fireflies and Genji fireflies that live around Appi Kogen.
At Appi Kogen, known as a summer retreat in Tohoku, the cool climate allows you to observe fireflies later in the season than in other areas.
The glow of fireflies in quiet nature with little city light is like stars descending to the earth.
With a guide introducing firefly ecology and highlights along the way, participants of all ages—from children to adults—can join with peace of mind.

Clothing: To protect against cold weather, light rain, and insect bites, please wear long sleeves and long pants. We recommend bringing an extra layer. Comfortable walking shoes such as sneakers are required (sandals are not allowed).

APPI 1304 Gondola Cruise (Golden Week)
The gondola ride takes about 15 minutes. From the gondola summit station, follow the promenade to the summit of Mt.Maemori, which is 1,304m above sea level.
