Shirakaba no Yu

One of the largest open-air baths in the Tohoku region. Surrounded by beech forests, it features a spacious main bath, rock bath, sleeping bath, and large sauna, where you can relax and unwind.

The transparent hot spring water, rich in metakaolin ions and sodium ions, is effective for beautiful skin. Accommodating up to 400 guests, Shirakaba no Yu is the perfect place to enjoy traditional Japanese hot springs in a relaxed atmosphere.

The water at Shirakaba no Yu is colorless and transparent with no sticky residue, making it perfect after sports or outdoor activities. The metakaolin ions and sodium ions in the water leave your skin smooth and silky, making it a beauty-enhancing spring.

Large Bathhouse / Sauna

The large bathhouse can accommodate 200 people each for men and women, totaling 400 people at once, with a spacious and open design.
Additionally, there is a large sauna that can accommodate 50 people, allowing you to enjoy the hot springs in your own way.

Important Notice

Tattoo Policy:
Guests with visible tattoos are generally not permitted to enter. However, tattoos can be covered with specially designed stickers (8 x 10 cm), available at Shirakaba no Yu’s reception for ¥200 each. For tattoos that cannot be covered, private baths are available at the ANA Crowne Plaza Resort APPI Kogen (advance booking and additional fee required).

Where is Shirakaba no Yu located?

Guests can take the shuttle bus or transfer service from the ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Appi Kogen and ANA Holiday Inn Resort Appi Kogen. The ride takes approximately 5 minutes.
