APPI Kogen Beech Forest Exploration Tour

Enjoy and learn about the wonderful nature of Appi Kogen!
The beech forest spreading across Appi Kogen is full of charm throughout the four seasons.
Our guide will introduce you to the pastures that once served as grazing lands and the second-growth beech forests selected among Japan’s Top 100 Forest Bathing Locations, sharing stories of Appi’s past and present.
From June to July, the beech forests and their surroundings come alive with diverse flora and fauna. Visitors can encounter the Ezoharuzemi cicada, the mysterious ghost plant, and vibrant meadow blooms such as the Japanese azalea and lily of the valley.

Itinerary

Morning Session: Depart hotel at 9:00 → Arrive at Appi Kogen Beech Station at 9:15 → Depart Beech Station at 10:45 → Return to hotel at 11:00

Afternoon Session: Depart hotel at 1:00 PM → Arrive at Appi Kogen Beech Station at 1:15 PM → Depart Beech Station at 2:45 PM → Return to hotel at 3:00 PM

During the tour, the guide will explain the names and historic sites along the route, leading you to "Fudo Falls," selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls.
After the Fudo Falls walk, you will move to Shin Appi Onsen and split into an Attended Course or a Free Activity Course.
Enjoy exploring the countryside town at your leisure.
