Appi Countryside Town Exploration

At the foot of Appi Kogen, Arayashimmachi is home to long-standing local traditions and shops.
Experience the local charm through this tour.
During the tour, the guide will explain the names and historic sites along the route, leading you to “Fudo Falls,” selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls.
After the Fudo Falls walk, you will move to Shin Appi Onsen and split into an Attended Course or a Free Activity Course.
Enjoy exploring the countryside town at your leisure.

9:50 Gather at APPI Explore Reception, ANA Crowne Plaza Resort 1F, Guidance
→ 10:20 Depart hotel → around 10:50 Start walking tour at Fudo Falls → 12:00 Depart from Fudo Falls
→ 12:10 Arrive at Shin Appi Onsen; split into Attended and Free Activity Courses
→ 3:00 Gather at Shin Appi Onsen, Depart → 3:30 Arrive at ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Appi Kogen; closing review and dismissal
◎ Attended Course Schedule / 12:20 Depart Shin Appi Onsen; Lunch (guide will suggest nearby restaurants)
→ After lunch, visit shops in Arayashimmachi, shrines, and Kazuno Highway.
In spring only, visit Yokoma Mizubasho (Asian skunk cabbage) colony.

・Before departure, the guide will introduce the local characteristics.
・Stroll to “Fudo Falls,” one of Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls, with a guide. Along the way, the guide will also introduce the local shrine and “Married Trees.”
・After the Fudo Falls walk, participants will split into an Attended Course and a Free Activity Course. Please select your course in advance. Please select in advance.
・In the Attended Course, you will travel by car to visit local shops, historic sites, and seasonal scenic spots.
・In the Free Activity Course, you can freely explore the town using an electric bicycle (Ashiro Guruchari), enjoy hot springs, experience lacquerware painting, or visit museums.

APPI Kogen Beech Forest Exploration Tour

Enjoy and learn about the wonderful nature of Appi Kogen!
The beech forest spreading across Appi Kogen is full of charm throughout the four seasons.
Our guide will introduce you to the pastures that once served as grazing lands and the second-growth beech forests selected among Japan's Top 100 Forest Bathing Locations, sharing stories of Appi's past and present.
From June to July, the beech forests and their surroundings come alive with diverse flora and fauna. Visitors can encounter the Ezoharuzemi cicada, the mysterious ghost plant, and vibrant meadow blooms such as the Japanese azalea and lily of the valley.
