Appi Kogen Tennis Club, which has 18 courts, one of the largest resorts in Japan, is located in the center of the pension village, surrounded by birches, and you can enjoy tennis while feeling the refreshing breeze. The court surface uses “Deco Turf,” which is the most used in major tournaments around the world. In addition, many official tournaments are held, and in 2016 it became the venue for the Iwate National Sports Festival.

APPI 1304 Gondola Cruise (Golden Week)

The gondola ride takes about 15 minutes. From the gondola summit station, follow the promenade to the summit of Mt.Maemori, which is 1,304m above sea level.
From the summit you can enjoy a magnificent spring panorama of the secondary beech forest below, as well as Mt. Iwate, Mt. Hachimantai, Mt. Nanashigure, and Mt. Himekami.
