We also offer pet-friendly stay (dedicated glamping site) where you can stay with your pet.

Located in northern Iwate Prefecture, our lush glamping and campsites allow you to fully enjoy the natural charm of Hachimantai—famous as one of the leading trekking spots in Tohoku and Japan—while also enjoying the various activities offered at Appi Kogen Resort.

Can I drive my car onto the site?

Yes, you can. There is also a dedicated parking area for glamping guests nearby.

Is there a refrigerator in the tent?

There is no refrigerator. Cooler boxes are available for rent; please inquire at the reception.

Are there heating appliances?

Some sites are equipped with electric carpets. We also offer rental heating appliances.

Can I start a campfire immediately after check-in?

Yes, you can. Firewood is sold on-site; please inquire at the reception.

Can I have a BBQ before dinner?

Yes, you can. However, since dinner ingredients are not provided before the scheduled time, please prepare your own if needed. Charcoal is sold on-site, and griddles are available for a rental fee. Please inquire at the reception.

Where is the check-in location?

Check-in is at the APPI Forest House. For details, please refer to the map at the bottom of the webpage or contact us by phone or email.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes, you can. Drinks are also available at the check-in counter.

Can I drive pegs into the ground on the premises?

Driving pegs into the ground within the glamping site is prohibited.

Are fireworks allowed?

Only handheld fireworks are permitted, but please refrain from using them after 10:00 PM. Buckets with water for extinguishing are available for rent; please inquire at the reception.

What is the distance between sites?

It depends on the location, but there is a distance of approximately 5 to 10 meters between sites.

How far is it to the bathing facilities?

It is approximately 400 m to the public bath at ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Appi Kogen and approximately 1,000 m to Appi Onsen Shirakaba-no-Yu.

Do bears appear at the glamping site?

Since the APPI Glamping site is surrounded by untouched nature, there is a possibility of bear sightings. We implement daily bear deterrent measures and strictly monitor sighting information.
Bear repellent spray is also available on-site.

What happens in the event of a typhoon or severe weather?

If severe weather such as a typhoon is expected, we will arrange for you to stay at the ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Appi Kogen instead.
Please note that this does not apply to normal rain.
