In 1998, a book published by the Japanese Environment Foundation called "Star watching Network" named APPI's "Naka no makiba" 5th in Japan for the beauty of its night sky. Walk a short distance to this area after dinner and take in its charm !

Fireflies
Fireflies are a common sight around the resort area. The staff of the "Ihatov APPI Nature School" can guide you on the popular "Firefly appreciation tour".

* Recommend to wear long sleeves and trousers in the programs. And please wear comfortable walking shoes (No recommend to wear heeled shoes or sandals). Good to prepare insect repellent spray also.
